So last week we had a sleep over with Tully. When I say a sleep over what I actually mean is we all tried to sleep while Tully..... well Tully thinks sleep is over rated. The night started with me trying to tell Dollcie she's a big girl now, (actually huge. A hair shorter then her 3 year old brother and therefore 2 hairs taller then her 5 year old brother.) and she needs to move into her big bed now. Not only would it be helpful to have the cot for Tully for the night but for Molly in a more permanent way. It would also probably alleviate the crick she has been experiencing in her neck. Now it was a tough ask but Dollcie eventually gave in because that meant Tully would be in her room and they could talk 2 and not quite 2 year old girly stuff all night. You know like which wiggles the hottest and which my little pony has the best mane. Anyway so Dollcie moved into her bed and thus the night began. Dollcie in her bed Tully started in the cot, but apparently that was only good till 9:15. Then as I found out it is Tully's tradition to spend a good 2-3 hours crying, well Josie calls it crying in our house we refer to that kind of noise.... well we just ignore it and go back to sleep, but apparently it means Tully gets in and out of bed till Josie caves in at midnight and puts her in bed with her, or as the case was at our house her ensemble of lounge cushions on the floor. Then Tully only has to pull her mums hair if she's wants something. Makes it much easier, well at least it was quieter. So Dollcie eventually got back to sleep after repeating over and over "it's ok Tully i love you". Anyway the week has passed and we have all made the most of opportunities to catch up on sleep. Not sure how Josie does it.

we're back......
So we haven't had a computer, so I have been baking and cleaning, and making craft and spending lots of time with the kids. Thank the Lord Aaron has invested in a very small but usable laptop. Things were getting a little stepford there for a moment. (Actually I'd never admit it but I dream of being stepfordish...). Its not that i don't enjoy baking or cleaning or making craft or spending time with the kids. It's just we have all put on about 10 killos each, I've cleaned the varnish off the floorboards, there is no more room in the "pool room" for my masterpieces, and the kids are starting to get bored with me. Thus I am back, problem is so much has happened I couldn't possibly catch you up. Ill try a point form debrief....
- We went on holidays to Kingscliff, near the Qld boarder. Took the kids to Wallyworld....I mean Dreamworld where we had a great day going on rides, meeting the wiggles friends etc, we did have to invest in hats for them at 1 million dollars each because of my lack of organisation with packing but a great day. We went to the beach everyday, had fathers day dinner at sizzlers, went to lots of different parks, visited some old friends. Just a great time. And when Arthur was asked what his favourite part of the holiday was he exclaimed " I got a new hat!".....
- Dolcie had her adenoids out and grommets put in. Oh and i foreign object removed from her nose.....
- Timothy had his first orientation day for kinddy next year. He was apparently voted school captain last week.....
- Jake has lost his first tooth and Aaron and I have realised going ahead with the tooth fairy thing long term with 5 kids is going to cost us about $40 000....
- Molly has started solids. Not my idea, but one day when I had very briefly headed to the toilet, (which I try not to do during the daylight hours as to not leave the kids alone, you'll see why). When I returned Dolcie had decide Molly was ready for solids and was shoving large spoonfuls of yogurt into her small mouth. Which would have been fine if it was lovely pot set natural yogurt. But of course it was that kiddies yogurt which is a lovely blend of gelatin and sugar, yummmm......
- Aaron.... umm..... has been busy i think..... We sleep in the same bed, he snores, that's about as much as I can tell you at the moment.... No he is a great husband and dad.
So that's us in a nut shell. A big nut!!!!! Yes that is a very accurate description, a nut house....
Thanks for reading, how do you like me so far?
